Food The Screech Owl hunts mainly after dusk and eats mice, insects, squirrels, frogs, snakes, bats, and worms
Migration Screech Owl are permanant Wisconsin residents; however some in the north retreat slightly to the south during winter.
Habitat Suburban areas, deciduous forests, and wood lots.
Nesting They nest in tree holes and bird boxes where they lay 3-8 white eggs. The famle incubates the eggs while the male provides food. Both feed the young.
