Blue Jay by Kate Stanford

Blue Jay Cyanocitta cristata
Food Blue Jays eat berries, seeds, and acorns. They bury seeds and acorns to save and eat.
Migration Blue Jays travel in large flocks in the spring and fall. Many winters in the Eastern United States birds from further north replace the summer birds.
Habitat Oak forests and suburban yards.
Nesting 4-6 greenish brown-spotted eggs are laid in a nest of twigs lined with grass. Blue Jays often build their nests in a crotch of a tree.
